Injstice 2: Green Arrow and Black Canary

Injustice2 gives us the world of D.C. Comics where you can fight one on one with your favorite D.C. heroes and villains. These fights are nothing but spectacular, where you are in this constant nostalgia trip of awesomeness. There are some lesser and awesome characters that don’t get talked about much.

Green Arrow comes to mind when getting discussed. The all time most talked about characters are Batman and Superman. Speaking of Batman, Green Arrow brings the same game that Batman does but with quiver full of different kinds of arrows. I guess you can say I love characters that don’t have powers and rely on strategy.

I’ve been customizing my characters on how I see them for myself. The characters I have been using the most come from Batman and Green Arrow’s series. The only characters from Green Arrow are Black Canary and of course Green Arrow.

Let’s talk about Black Canary. Black Canary was trained by a world heavy weight boxing champion Ted Grant, Wildcat, that makes her an awesome vigilante. To be trained by a world heavy boxing champ is a plus to her unique screeching powers.

Black Canary's Gear

·      Head – Balance Wildcat’s Face of Vengeance
·      Torso – Utilitarian Rage
·      Arms – Lethal Helena’s Biker Fists
·      Legs – Crowd Pleasers
·      Accessory – Resilient Ollie’s Favorite Choker
·      Ability – N/A
·      Color Scheme – Scream Queen

Even though she is at level seven, Black Canary is fun to use. Injustice 2 has many characters that I love using that I forget how awesome Canary is. Let’s move on to the Arrow, Oliver Queen. Those years on that island to learn how to survive helped Oliver become the vigilante Emerald Archer.

Green Arrow's Gear

·      Head – Balanced Aramid Huntsman Cap
·      Torso – Destructive Q-Core Ultra-light Harness
·      Arms – Lethal Aramid Sheaths of Conviction
·      Legs – Supreme Fair Trade Survival Pads
·      Bow – Lethal Tactical Ultra-light Bow
·      Ability – Sky Bolt
·      Color Scheme – Emerald Archer

I love Green Arrow but the thing that is different is that Batman’s characters overtake Green Arrow’s by a big margin like a 10:2. Green Arrow should have more characters in the Injustice games.

Green Arrow has some awesome characters like his partners: Arsenal, Roy Harper, and Speedy, Mai Dearden. Other characters would be Malcolm Merlyn, China White, and Huntress. Deathstroke would be great to bring back as well. Maybe the problem with Green Arrow’s characters is that they are mostly archers.

Regardless on how you feel about Green Arrow like I do, you should use him on Injustice 2. His move sets are easy to use and his mechanics are great for beginners. If you love D.C. Comics and fighting games, go out there and pick up a copy of Injustice 2 today.

Diamond Dynasty: The Death Valley Predators

Are you tired of losing in your favorite sport’s fantasy league and being belittled by your friends for have a terrible team? I have the best suggestion for you, video games. Yes, you heard right video games. Sports' games are evolving into a virtual world for collecting sports cards of your favorite athletes. These athletes can range from athletes of today and legends of yesterday.

So it takes an unique way of collecting cards and fantasy league action. With the fantasy league part is that you can challenge people with your team that you have collected. I have done this with four game series: Madden, NCAA Football (never forget), NBA 2K, and MLB the Show. It is that last one that I have been playing of late and I have enjoyed exquisitely.

I have enjoyed the game mode Diamond Dynasty. This game mode allows you to customize the team of your dreams. This is one reason why this kills the fantasy leagues The customization goes with the team’s name, jerseys, and most importantly the logo. I mean every good team has a killer logo. Also who wouldn’t root for the Death Valley Predators?

Lineup
1.     CF        L          Ender Inciarte           82
2.     2B       R          D.J. LeMahieu             86
3.     LF        R          J.D. Martinez              90
4.     RF        R          Aaron Judge               87
5.     3B       R          Justin Tuner               92
6.     1B       R          Evan Longoria           90
7.     SS        R          Yunel Escobar           78
8.     C          R          Evan Gattis                 84
9.                                     Random Pitcher

Bench
1.     1B       R          Mark Reynolds           86
2.     C          R          Francisco Cervelli     81
3.     2B       R          Jose Peraza                  84
4.     3B       R          Anthony Rendon       89
5.     LF        R          Adam Duval                87

Pitching Rotation
1.     L          Francisco Liriano        86
2.     R          Luis Severino               85
3.     L          Steven Matz                  84
4.     R          Sonny Gray                   83
5.     R          Michael Fulmer           83

Bullpen
1.     LRP     L          Jose Alvarez                           77
2.     MPR    R          Hunter Strickland               88
3.     MPR    L          Sean Doolittle                       84
4.     MPR    R          Pedro Strop                           84
5.     SU       R          Addison Reed                        88
6.     SU       L          Jerry Blevins                          88
7.     CL        R          Raisel Iglesias                       89

There are a couple of spots that need a touch up. Shortstop, first base, and catcher are the places that need a tune up as position players are concerned. Pitching is good enough but I would love to have a dominate ace in my rotation. The only problem with my bullpen is my long reliever that’s a 77 overall and I would prefer someone that used to be a starter.

So if you think this is a better feel than your fantasy leagues then go out and pick out a sports video game and start building your fantasy team with the player you didn't get while drafting with you so called friends. Lastly root on my Death Valley Predators. LET'S GO PREDS!

That's Not Goku

Customization is taking video games to the next level and just making everything better for the player. Dragonball Xenoverse 2 allows you to just do that, customize you own character that will fight along side Goku and others from the Dragonball Z universe.

You will have a selection of what race and gender you want to be: Saiyan, Namekian, Frieza Race, Majin, and earthling. I love this concept in a Dragonball video game. I mean who didn’t want to be like Goku as a child and this game can let you be your own character just as strong as Goku.

I have gone through this game a couple of times and it gets better due to you being able to create more than one character.

The first character I built was a Saiyan woman, Rouge, and she is insanely strong with a power level of 80.

Rouge’s Equipment
Upper Body: Gi (CC) Capsule Corp
Lower Body: Gi (Ginyu Force)
Hands: Gi (CC)
Feet: Gi (Ginyu Force)
Accessory: Z-Sword
QQ Bang: N/A
Super Soul: Don’t go all-out!

Rouge’s Skills
Super Attacks: Kamehameha, Super Destructo-Disc, Time Skip/Flash Skewer, Max Charge
Ultimate Attacks: Perfect Kamehameha, Final Flash
Awoken Skill: Super Saiyan
Evasive Skill: Blast Meteor

I envisioned Rouge to be a mixture between Vegeta and Goku. Final Flash is one of the best moves on the game. I got to say that playing, as a Saiyan was an entertaining adventure. However, they are super strong and you might get bored if you get too good.

Next up is my boy King Hell Fire out of the Frieza Race. I was being funny when I named him. The race has something weird with frigid names; I mean King Cold, Cooler, Frieza, and now Frost. I took the chance to name him with warmth. King Hell Fire is red, black, and grey. He’s got this fire and brim stone to him that probably gives him the edge in a fight.

King Hell Fire’s Equipment
Upper Body: Time Patroller Suit
Lower Body: Time Patroller Suit
Hands: Time Patroller Suit
Feet: Time Patroller Suit
Accessory: Yamcha’s Sword
QQ Bang: QQ Bang Lv.2
Super Soul: A monster? No, I’m a devil!

King Hell Fire’s Skills
Super Attacks: God of Destruction’s Anger, Earth Splitting Galick Gun, Spirit Bomb, Max Charge.
Ultimate Attacks: Death Ball and Emperor’s Death Beam
Awoken Skills: Kaioken
Evasive Skills: Spread Shot Retreat

This game is awesome for the Dragonball franchise in many ways. This was made for fans to get a fill of what it is like to be a character of the franchise. Whether you are a fan of the Frieza saga, Cell saga, or the Buu saga, there are ways you can customize yourself to the point that you are these characters. It even has stuff for people that have made it to Dragonball Super. Its not a new new game but it will give you hours of entertainment. I suggest that fans of this franchise to go out and buy this game.

Going, Going, Gone: Wilkes' Journey through The Show (Part One)

All athletes look to take his or her talents to the next level, but what if you do not have the skill to make it to that level and still want to be a star athlete. I will tell you that video games are the answer. The 2K series, MLB The Show series, and even the Madden Series have a mode that allows you to customize yourself or as you will a bossed up athlete.

For me, I find comfort in that people with zero to no athleticism can see what it is like to be a super athlete even if it’s just a visual effect. I am one of those people that cannot play sports and any chance I get will play one of these sports games.

That chance I get I tend to put in MLB The Show. I’ve been playing The Show 17’ and the game mode Road to the Show lately. I created a right fielder that’s 6’7” and a stud at the plate. This monster of a play, Ryan Wilkes, got drafted by the Kansas City Royals, sent to Double-A ball, and basically dominated the rest of the league. Ole boy’s batting average in Double-A was a .449 with 210 hits, 69 homeruns and 191 RBIs.

He was held down in Double-A to long and then gets called up straight to the show on August 4. Wilkes’ first game in the MLB was a show stopping performance. He went 3-4 with two homeruns and three RBIs. It was the right time to call up my boy Wilkes to the show.

This was just the beginning for the homerun slayer and pitchers the scouting reports will not help you. Stay in check for more about pitchers’ worst nightmare Ryan Wilkes.
